A first for the park, reported to me by Roy Sanderson: a Manx Shearwater (its confusing scientific name is Puffinus puffinus, but it is not a puffin). It was found in an exhausted state, fed and cared for by Malcolm the wildlife officer, and released on the Long Water on 28 September. More information when I get it.
