A couple of fungi you may want to take a photo of: A nice bright Chicken of the wood on one of the American oaks not far from the Speke obelisk (about 50 meters from the obelisk in the direction of Queensway station, past the dead tall tree surrounded by bramble) A patch of Redlead Roundhead mushrooms in the woodchips near the Speke obelisk A brain looking puffball (?) in the grass on the verge of the Serpentine (going from the parakeet feeding area toward the bridge) Mario
Just a routine collapse after one of the awful Windows 10's destructive updates. If I didn't need to design Windows software I would use Linux Mint, straightforward and reliable.
Good luck
ReplyDeleteThank you. Luckily I have a spare machine.

Thanks very much. Will look for them tomorrow. I think I know the tree you mean with the Chicken of the Woods, as there was one on it a few years ago.
DeleteHope everything is solved on the computer front - I don't know what I'd do without my daily fix of birdy loveliness and intelligent commentary.
