But of course people who step into fairy rings are never heard of again on earth, so it is never denied. And one should never go round a church widdershins ('against the sun'). There is a well near the Round Pond called St Govor's Well, surrounded by a low wall bearing an inscription that circles the wall five and a half times and can only be read by walking around it widdershins.
