When the first fails completely and the second fails partially, you get this beige colour. Total failure of both pigments gives you a pigeon with white feathers. Horses can be grey (white hair, black skin) or, much less commonly, white (white hair, pink skin) -- the genes for hair colour and skin colour are separate. Similarly, you can have a bird with white feathers and all other features normally coloured, not an albino.Ralph Hancockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11686354797977020917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8278510471239667560.post-39687447114103626252018-01-04T00:38:58.652+00:002018-01-04T00:38:58.652+00:00Few can have been more grateful than King Ferdinan...Few can have been more grateful than King Ferdinand.Ralph Hancockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11686354797977020917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8278510471239667560.post-77384649371628500102018-01-03T23:57:19.824+00:002018-01-03T23:57:19.824+00:00That's quite an elegant pigeon! Same reason!

So many favourite pictures today, I don't know which one to pick: the welcome return of Coot madness, the precision-shooter Jay, or the funny, funny and intriguing play of the young Gulls.TinĂºvielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794275230697959519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8278510471239667560.post-53605168698785475992018-01-03T23:05:22.211+00:002018-01-03T23:05:22.211+00:00Really appreciate you sharing tales from your clea...Really appreciate you sharing tales from your clearly rich catalogue.
