Green woodpeckers are unusual here and I have not seen one locally for a year or two.linda ashkenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03915206043889456384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8278510471239667560.post-1760358378805902802015-01-24T20:50:07.756+00:002015-01-24T20:50:07.756+00:00Thanks Ralph. I'm hoping to see Grebelets on Virginia Water this year - apparently they do breed there. I have never seen one, and it's my ambition to do so this year.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09683657915069578017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8278510471239667560.post-51479818724347456682015-01-24T18:34:08.734+00:002015-01-24T18:34:08.734+00:00It's quite possible, though very early. I did see a group of 6 slender moorhens at Savill Gardens yesterday though. They stuck together as a group, both on the grassy bank and in the water of the stream. Do you think they might be a brood of grown-up chicks from last year?Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09683657915069578017noreply@blogger.com
